Microcurrent Facial Rejuvenation
works on the muscles underlying the skin. The muscular structure of the face is very complex with many muscles attaching to the facial skin. These muscles control facial expressions. As these muscles weaken and sag with age, the skin on the face also droops. Microcurrent stimulation works on the spindle cells and Golgi tendon organs, reflexes found within each muscle, which control the length and tone of the muscle. As the muscles regain tone and tighten up, the skin they are attached to also tighten up. Microcurrent also increases circulation to the facial skin, improving the texture and elasticity of the skin. This improved skin quality, results in younger looking skin. A “Non Surgical Face Lift” is the end result.
How can Microcurrent help Acne or Rosacea?
The electrical current reduces inflammation and promotes tissue regeneration. Healing is enhanced 150% to 300 %. Treatments are approximately 20- 30 minutes long, two to three times per week. Significant improvement is seen in the first few treatments.
How Long Does this Take?
While everyBODY is different and the desired results vary we recommend a series of 9-12 treatments, one to three times a week. This way the muscles of the face can be re-educated, regaining tone that has been lost with general aging and gravity. Facial changes such as crow’s feet, frown or smile lines, general wrinkles, bags under the eyes, droopy lids etc. are gradually reduced. Significant changes can be seen within the first few treatments! Although this technique cannot change the structure of the face, as a surgical face-lift can, it can take 15 to 20 years of aging off your face, with no risk to the patient. It can make the best of what you have! Once the series of treatments is complete, periodic maintenance treatments are recommended. If you are generally healthy, a non- smoker, without excessive exposure to the sun, you may only need a maintenance treatment every 2 to 3 months.
